Mercer Island Youth & Family Services is a unique partnership of public and private resources. Each year MIYFS must raise more than half its
budget from sources other than the City of Mercer Island's
general fund. Individuals, families and groups can support MIYFS in many ways.

Contribute to the Future of YFS Youth Leadership Programs
The Thomas H. Maren Foundation recently awarded a grant to the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation to establish a Youth Development Endowment to support the Youth and Family Services community service and involvement programs that engage youth in the social and economic issues of the greater Seattle area. The Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation is now conducting a campaign to increase the amount of the endowment. Tax-deductible donations can be accepted securely online at www.miyfs.org. Click on "Donate Now!" and select "Youth Development Endowment" from the drop-down menus.
Legacy Gifts Ensure the Future of YFS
You
Talk with your estate planning advisor about how to include the MIYFS Foundation in your legacy. Amendments to existing wills are relatively easy and inexpensive. But more than half of all adult Americans do not have wills. So its advisable to create one.
The MIYFS Foundation will use bequests and other legacy gifts to build its three endowments - the General Endowment, Senior Endowment, and Youth Development Endowment. The endowments help build stability and longevity for critical YFS programs. More information can be obtained by calling the Youth and Family Services Development Office at 206-275-7751.
